What about cranking that con ella ?!

    EVEN MORE AMAZING!

Just be prepared...that's all I'm going to say...be prepared...

    Peace, love, and jadelkac.

  • You Know You're a Carrie Fan When...

    01/17/08 1 Comment

You know you're a Carrie fan when...

Your mom is making buscuits and she says "Go check on the rolls Carrie..." and you reply with "Are we having them with chocolate sauce?" becuase you remember that one interview when Carrie said her mom used to make her buscuits and chocolate gravy and you secretly want to try it.

You are visiting your grandparents and your grandfather asks you if you watched the CMAs and your mom starts to reinact Carrie's speech (putting her right hand in the air and pretending to cry) and you start reciting her FVOTY speech from last year while your whole family looks at you like you're crazy.

You ask for Some Hearts and Carnival Ride for Christmas and birthday presents even though you already have five million copies of them.

You can relate ANYTHING to Carrie in some way, shape, or form.

    Examples :

Carrots Orange Carnival Ride colors Carrie

Apple Laptop Fan club chat Carrie

Doormat Matty (Carrie's friend/roommate/manager person) Carrie

Your friends and family call you just to tell you that they saw Carrie on TV or heard her on the radio or saw her in a magazine and immediately thought of you and had to give you a call.

You have wondered what okra is and what it tastes like because Carrie sings about it in "I Ain't in Checotah Anymore".

You wonder why people have a festival for a fruit/vegetable called okra, which you have never even heard of before hearing the song.

You have thought about moving to Tennessee more than once so you can see more Carrie concerts and attend her fan club party yearly.

The first thing you do when you sign online is check the fan club for updates and then preceed to look at Carrie's blog even though you know she's either on tour, at an awards show, in the recording studio, or filming a music video, and you also know she won't update because she's busy, yet you check anyway.

You yell Carrie's name and cross your fingers and get all nervous when you rewatch the 2006 CMAs because you want Carrie to win FVOTY, even though you already know she wins and you've seen it countless times and have the whole speech memorized.

You butt into somebody's conversation because you hear the word 'Carrie' or 'carry'.

You have written Carrie Underwood as your name on a paper more than once and didn't even realize it until the teacher said "Carrie Underwood?" and you looked at her funny until she handed you back your paper.

Every single person in the lunch room came up to you and started pointing to the Got Milk? poster when they first put it in your school,

People feel the need to congratulate you on Carrie's achievements, because they think that you somehow have connections with her, even though you don't.

You plan your summer around Carrie's tour schedule and cancel things accordingly.

You secretly wish you were Briana or Sarah because then you could be Carrie's neice.

You get a Christmas card in the mail addressed 'Mrs. Underwood' and you freak out, only realizing after your big fit that Mrs. Underwood (who is not Carole, btw) is your grandparents' neighbor and you have known her your whole life.

You have had to have your computer totally emptied and rebooted by the Geek Sqaud four times too many because of the media and pictures on it.

You realize that Carrie ruins your computer, yet you continue to download after the fact.

You wonder at random points through out the day where Carrie is and what she's doing and how much better of a time she's probably having than you are.

Your family members start talking about Romowood and you feel the need to point out the fact that neither of them ever confirmed the relationship. They continue talking about how they didn't need to confirm it and how they know they were a couple, and you argue with your family for countless amounts of time about how you believe them and how they shouldn't make judgements.

You really wish you had a mustang.

You think that it's funny that Chace and Ace rhyme and that Carrie walked the streets of NYC with both of them at the same time.

Your father knows all of the words to Carrie's songs because it's all you listen to in the car.

You yell at people when they say 'Carrie Underwear'.

You wonder what a baptist church is like and why they are allowed to sing cool songs during the service and catholics don't.

You spend your spare time writing Canthony fan ficitons even though there was never any confirmation of that relationship ever.

You despise Chad and Drake because they are massive butts in every single fan fiction you read.

Someone says a concert date or awards show and you know exactly what Carrie wore, who she took as her date, what year the show was in, and how she did her hair.

You can recite Carrie's FVOTY speeches from memory.

You can do the 'Carrie Jig' from "Sin Wagon", but you wonder why you even bothered learning it.

You set your DAD's ringtone for when you call his cell phone to "All American Girl".

You incorporate Carrie or something related to her into every English paper you've written over the past two years. You also twist writing prompts around so that a Carrie related topic can fit in with it, no matter how irrelevant it may be to her.

When reading a horoscope, you check Pisces before you check your own.

In your mind, March 10th should be an observed national holiday.

You actually bother to make a cake on Carrie's birthday.

Whenever you hear anything about an amusement park, fair, or carnival, you immediately think of Carnival Ride.

Clean Cotton is your favorite Yankee Candle scent and you think it's super cool that the fans voted Carrie as 'Clean Cotton' the scent in the Yankee Candle poll.

You find it weird that you remember the most random things about Carrie but you can't remember what you had for breakfast yesterday morning.

You laugh at Carrie's 'man frog' voice because you know that you have one when you get a cold and you know how it feels to sound like a frog that never puts the toilet seat down.

You realized that you have a bedrolling problem while staying in your hotel in York, PA while staying overnight to see Carrie (after driving almost eight hours). You had to share a bed with your sister and woke up that morning half hanging off the bed and hlaf trampling your sister. A few nights later you woke up on your bedroom floor with a bloody nose because you rolled out of the bed. You have now come to the conclusion that you roll out of your bed at random points during the night and there's nothing you can do about it.

You freaked out because there is a Northeastern State University in your state.

You find the movie Carrie really disturbing but you watch it anyway because of its title.

Your brother tells you that his CCD teacher's name is Sister Carol and the first thing you do is ask if she spells with with an 'e' at the end.

You never questioned Carrie's cuss word of choice being 'poop' because it's yours also.

You wonder why Dann Huff spells his name with two n's.

You make fun of your sister because she shares a name with Carrie's dog, but at the same time you find it really cool that they have the same names (even though my sister spells it with a 'y' at the end and Carrie's puppy spells it with an 'ie').

You thought it was really weird that you and Carrie both had yellow cocker spaniels whose names ended in 'ie' and who died almost in the same week.

Chasing Ace is your favorite video ever and no matter how many times you see it, you never fail to laugh hysterically.

You're proud that your mom is a teacher because Carole used to be one too.

You hear a song on the radio and start planning out Carrie montages and ways to work the plot of the song into a fan fiction.

You despise the Jaded Journalist because he asked if Steve sent the 'big family Bible' out to Carrie and then he made fun of her and tricked her about the whole taxicab thing.

When at Walmart or Target, you put Some Hearts and Carnival Ride over all of the other CD's while the sales people aren't looking. They realize that Carrie's covering everyone else, so they return the CDs to their normal spots, and as soon as they turn around, you redo the job.

You walk through the Country CD aisle at a store and gush about how amazing Carrie is, hoping somebody will hear you and go buy the CD.

You live for In The Moment reruns and can recite many of the lines throughout the show.

"Wait for it...wait for it...niiiicceeee!" and "Mom and I...we got our hair did..." completed your winter of 2005.

You find yourself sleep deprived many a night because you stayed up to watch awards shows that Carrie attended just for the chance that they might show a glimpse of her in the audience.

You think Ashlee and Matty and (all of Carrie's other friends) are the luckiest people in the world and you secretly wish that you were them.

Where the Red Fern Grows used to be your favorite book and you love the movie but it makes you cry. You still watch it because you remember that one time where Carrie mentioned that that was her favorite book.

You had the choice to read To Kill a Mockingbird or Night and you chose TKAM because you heard that there was a 'Mr. Underwood' in the book.

You hear the word 'Chicago' and you think of the interview where Carrie taught the people how to say 'Checotah' by saying 'Chicago'.

You have recently worn curly pigtails.

Everytime you rewatch Idol Gives Back you sit there thinking about how much of an amazing mother Carrie is going to be one day and how great it must've been for those kids in Africa who got to have a compassionate woman make them feel loved for a day.

Your iPod is on shuffle and it plays twelve Carrie songs in a row before changing to a random artist like it should.

The memory card on your camera can hold no more pictures because you refuse to delete the pictures/videos you took of her at the last concert.

You know why Carrie's fan club website is not TRI Leadership Resources, LLC - Carrie Underwood and you get annoyed when people keep asking 'Why isn't it .com?'.

A lazy day consists of blasting Carrie, watching Carrie on TV, and surfing the internet for the latest Carrie news.

People ask you for the latest Carrie news before you even think about telling them.

You have wondered about the ring that Carrie wore all last summer that's mysteriously gone this year.

You know that OCD (on the fan club) does not mean 'Obsessive Compulsive Disorder'.

You know that PCD (on the fan club) does not mean 'Pussy Cat Dolls'.

You watch the American Idol auditions staring at the screens behind the contestant and the judges becuase there's a picture of Carrie singing 'Sin Wagon' on the walls.

The shows introduction (the person going up that ladder and there's footage of the winners singing behind them) excites you because there's the video of Carrie singing 'Man! I Feel Like a Woman" on the wall.

You wonder how Carrie got a key to the "city of Checotah" when Checotah's not even a city.

You've been counting down the days until Enchanted comes out and you're going just to see the end credits while "Ever Ever After" plays. (and maybe because you're obsessed with Disney movies...but for the sake of being a Carrie fan...)

Someone says 'giraffe bag' and you automatically know what bag of Carrie's the person is talking about and where she was when she wore it.

You wonder how Carrie keeps track of all of her cell phone numbers, and also how her family and friends keep track of them all.

You are sitting at your computer nodding your head because you can relate to all of these.

And that, my friends, is the life of a Carrie fan :D

  • Amherst !

    01/14/08 0 Comments

Guess who's going to Amherst ?!

    Mhhmm. Yours truly :D

I honestly don't think that I can wait 37 more days though. It's ridiculous, and the longest I've had to wait to see Carrie when I actually knew that I was going to. In 2005, my parents bought me tickets for the Idol concert, but they didn't tell me until 2 days before the concert because they knew that I would be freaking out for two months, so there I was, begging them from May until July to buy tickets. I wrote them letters, asked them hundreds of times, and even made a montage. But their answer was always the same -- "We're going to be on vacation that week." Anyway, two nights before the concert, my mom had to bring my little brother to his hockey game, Dad was at work, and I was babysitting my sister. I went down to the kitchen and on the table there was an envelope that said my name on it. I opened it, and what do ya know?! Five tickets to see Carrie with the Idols!! I was ecstatic. You have absolutely no idea. Then, last summer,I started asking my parents to take me to see Carrie in October in Springfield at the Big E. Once again, I wrote them letters and blablabla, and they didn't say yes until two weeks prior to October 1st (the concert date) because they weren't sure if they wanted to wait in line all day for a seat in the venue. However; we did. Amazing night right there. And then, this past September 2007, I accidentally entered myself into the York Fair m&g. I started freaking, and then put my begging skills to use. I had eight days before the actual concert to fully plan a trip to PA. I called my parents into my bedroom for a conference, and by the end of it, they were all for me going to Pennsylvania. My aunt took me, along with my younger sister and cousin, to Pennsylvania, and my parents paid for it. That was truly one of the best weekends I've ever had. It's totally indescribable. So, thirty seven days is the longest that I've ever had to wait to see Carrie.

But I'm actually super pumped for this concert because I'm going with my best friend, who, thanks to me, is an utterly obsessed Carrie fan. Basically, if I'm talking about a Carrie outfit, she knows exactly which one I'm talking about, and where Carrie wore it, and vice versa.

Alyson's blog owns :D. JADELKAC foreverr.

  • Jadelkac Owns

    01/09/08 0 Comments

    Jadelkac owns my life :D.

Carrie is FINALLY coming to Massachusetts!!! Woo hoo. Do the dance. Now, all I have to do is beg mis padres to bring me. Haha. But my cousin goes to UMass Amherst, which is where the concert is, so it's all good.

The people in the chat officially hate me. Well, not the cool, amazing Jadelkac lovers...aka llama, gopher, flamingo, and tiger...but all of the rest do...I'm almost sure of it.

Anyway, my seat in Spanish class got moved today because some people talk way too much and the teacher made them all go to the back of the classroom. So, sadly, now I'm in the second row. But hey! At least I can see the board!

Wind ensemble midterms started today. I, however, didn't have to go....thank goodness. I'm totally unprepared and have only site read the solo I have to play. Everything else should go alright...and as long as I practice tonight, I should be ready for tomorrow...if I have to end up going.

Alyson, we should definitely be pen pals. That would complete my life.

MW2 really makes me feel awkward y no me gusta. Take your own advice...cuelgue un gato en su cara.

    Kay, thanks bye.
